Who is the Australasian Association of Volunteer Administrators (AAVA)?
AAVA is a professional association for individuals across all sections of the community who are involved with managing volunteer programs within the Australasian region, including Australia and New Zealand.
Volunteer programs are wide and varied in their nature from community services, heritage and environment to emergency services, schools and youth work.
Volunteer managers are known by a wide variety of names including coordinators, managers and support officers etc.
They are found at all levels in the organisational hierarchy from front line management to Executive Officer.
It is this incredible variety that makes up the field of volunteer management.
